Lots of good guesses though - thanks to all - just goes to show you what a range of prices there are or at least a range f expected prices. to be fair, I don't think a couple of quid is unreasonable if it is somewhere special e'g the seafront or o someones premises e.g. cinema, but just in a local shop I think it is scandalous.

I bought one for £1.55 in my loca Saiunsburys local on Saturday. And even that one was very disappointing, because the icecream within the chocolate case was all melty and I had to woof it down very quickly indeed. Not the first time I've had this experience with a Magnum from this store, I don't think they keep their icecream fridge at the proper temperature. Have returned the stick and wrapper to Walls and asked them to comment .....

£1.60 each at a dog show held at a garden centre yesterday. Sainsbury's also do the box of six Mini Magnums for £3.29 or sometimes on offer - bit smaller but great for an evening snack while on Answerbank.

Just come back via Co-op. Magnum Classic @ £1.45. Local Spar does not appear to stock them.

chokkie - our sainsburys can be like that too - currently having a refirb and expansion, so hopefully will get better then.

LL - I have bought them recently but still shocked me.

scotman - that still seems dear but a wee bit better.

Drove past the store tonight and turns out it's changed from a Spar to a McColls - that probably explains it - thieving gits!!!

I checked further in local Co-op. They are doing the box of 3 Classic at £2.49 with current special offer of 2 boxes for £4.00.
