Where does it say that the right to the enjoyment of a family life should stop criminals being deported from the UK? There seems nothing to stop them taking their family with them when they go.

we should apply the 3 strikes & out system, that would give peope a chance to reform.but why oh why do we allow murderers and rapists into the country in the first place ?

Article 8

Right to respect for private and family life

1Everyone has the right to respect for his private and family life, his home and his correspondence.

2There shall be no interference by a public authority with the exercise of this right except such as is in accordance with the law and is necessary in a democratic society in the interests of national security, public safety or the economic well-being of the country, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, or for the protection of the rights and freedoms of others.

Which bit don't you like?
many seem to get human rights lawyers to battle their cases, is this at taxpayers expense? And if they have committed a crime in Britain they should go to jail, and when finished their sentence be deported.
and their wife and children as well em10?
why not. If i committed a crime in say Spain, and got sent to prison, then afterwards was deported as an undesirable, I wouldn't expect my husband and children to stay there. Didn't Austrialia do that to a guy who had been living there for years, he had a long criminal record, and they shipped him back here.
well said em10, the family should be given a choice as to what they want to do stay here on their own or all go back together.
what about if your husband was spanish and your children were born there em10 ?
