Hi all, has anyone ever booked a holiday with travel republic or any internet site. We have found a holiday we would like and our local travel agent can usually match the internet price, but on this occasion they can't and there is quite a difference. Would be interested in others opinions on this please, thanks.
I've booked 2 holidays via internet, one with Thomson through teletext holidays and one with On the beach. I've never had any real problems and both were great holidays.
I would recommend that you read the small print though and make sure the provider has a helpline / customer service by phone, in case it's needed as if you do need to check anything it's easier and more reassuring if you can call rather than wait on emails.
Thanks chelle, thats reassuring,I might be brave and give them a ring. Am hopeless with small print, start to read it then give up lol,but if we are going to book online will make sure one of us reads it properly. Thanks again for your input. x
I booked an excellent hotel in Egypt last year through them, but I have noticed that this year they seem to offer fewer 'must have' bargains, or at least ones that appeal to me. They seemed to do exactly what they said, smoothly.
Make sure you know what you are buying. It will more than likely not be a package but flights and accomodation seperate and usually no transfers or booked seperate. Not a problem and we have done this several times but make sure you are properly insured
Right, all booked and paid for now, travel agent rang me up and found she could match the TR price well very near to it anyway, so we booked with them, but many thanks for all your replies and would probably feel ok about using TR in the future. P x
