TELEPHONE PROBLEM
1 Answers
Hi all.
We seem to have a problem with our telephone line. We can make a call but if anyone try's to call us, it rings only once and goes dead. I have rung our number from the mobile and it rings just the once then goes dead, The internet is working fine. Before i ring TalkTalk and speak to a brick wall,(cos thats what there like) can anyone suggest what to try. I have also tried another phone and its the same so i know there is nothing wrong with the landline phone.
Thanks in advance

Before calling TalkTalk, try unplugging everything connected to your phone line (including on any extensions) such as an answering machine, plug-in extension leads, and (importantly) your ADSL filter and router. Have only your phone plugged in (using the main socket, not an extension) and see if the problem persists. If it does, you can then confidently tell TalkTalk that there's a line fault.
