I find M&S Footglove more comfortable than most with lower thicker heels. I have a pair for work meetings/dos and they are the only ones I feel comfortable in. I wouldn't touch spike heels these days.
I have arthritis and decided to wear some proper heels I have as a treat (rare thing these days!), had a stumble and still suffering the afteraffects combined with the arthritis - it's still bruised over 6 months on. The heels have now been relegated back to the shelf as not risking that again.
I've got a friend's wedding on Saturday and going in a dress so going to wear a very low pair of thick heeled heels with a peep toe and bow detail I have then will have some nice pumps on standby for later, not that I anticipate dancing much but once the lights go down and the drinks have been flowing, who will see/care :)
