Can anyone tell me if it possible to withold a number when sending a text from a mobile phone. Its not anything I would wish to do but it came up in conversation and I would like to know for interests sake

go into settings on you mobile set "send own number" to off
they all have this setting

The two answers given only apply in terms of making a call.

I don't believe it's possible to withold a number when sending a text message.
