My friend and I went to a 70s do as punks several years ago. It was easy to do. We just got lots of black eyeliner and smudged it, ripped a few of her husband`s shirts, put on some skinny black jeans and I got a fab pair of cerise pink sling backs from the charity shop for £5. We got some strange looks though as everyone else had gone as hippies.

wear something comfortable (leathers would probably feel uncomfotable after a few hours) I would go for some floaty abba esque clothes or kate bush style (maybe not the babooshka outfit) ;)

LOL, I was a skinhead back in the early seventies, complete with cropped hair -very short having had it very long for many years - went on holiday to Norfolk with a friend and came back cropped! My mum nearly had a fit.
Was a bit too old for a punk at the time but would have loved to have been one. I remember a girl up the road walking along chained to her boyfriend both with dog collars on.
