Tarrying (staying...) - 'trying' (hearing, as in court) (about) 'a R(ex)'
Perfectly fine word

Tarry, v. i. [imp. & p. p. Tarried; p. pr. & vb. n. Tarrying.] [OE. tarien to irritate (see Tarre); but with a change of sense probably due to confusion with OE. targen to delay, OF. targier, fr. (assumed) LL. tardicare, fr. L. tardare to make slow, to tarry, fr. tardus slow. Cf. Tardy.]
1. To stay or remain behind; to wait.
Tarry ye for us, until we come again. Ex. xxiv. 14.
2. To delay; to put off going or coming; to loiter.
Come down unto me, tarry not. Gen. xic. 9.
One tarried here, there hurried one. Emerson.
3. To stay; to abide; to continue; to lodge.
Tarry all night, and wash your feet. Gen. xix. 2.
Syn. — To abide; continue; lodge; await; loiter.

I certainly am, m'lady!
Hmmm

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Boasting again, Maj
Let him sink or let him swim? Was mouth to mouth resucitation the in thing then?
Still Holger Nielson than , I suspect....
Not to mention 'debonair and gay'.
Doesn't language have whole different meanings today?
I'm not too young to remember Ruby Murray <sob>.
...nor The Stargazers, nor Anne Shelton, nor Vera Lynn!
Don't cry, Mike. I'm sure you are amongst friends here, even if they don't admit their true ages...

Debonair...now that was a word to put a spring in the step of a young lady....a real loss now...
...nor Eve Boswell, nor Kathy Kay, nor Lita Rosa, nor The Dallas Boys, nor The Beverley Sisters...
I've heard of some of them :-)
Tell the truth and shame the devil, LIK.

(Bet you and Mike are both pretty debonair...)
!!! I've genuinely not heard of The Dallas Boys, Lita Rosa or Eve Boswell

Wouldn't be for me to say, m'lady :-)
Ah reminiscing eh? Never heard of any of them with the exception of Vera Lynn of course.
A friend of mine went backstage after a Dallas Boys concert and sat on one of their knees....don't know which one and I think she was rather hazy about it too...that really was as far as it went in those far off innocent times. She was envied for weeks...

Thank you, m'lady - most enjoyable! Definitely never seen or heard them before...

I presume your friend chose the left or right?
Boom boom!
