The rush from the shrubbery was rather fruitless for most. The first fifteen players came and went without a point between them until Middlestump used his MEMORY STICK to earn 2 points matched by Owllady for 2 as well. Too late for bonus points on this were Mrs Albaqwerty, Joto, Handbaglady, Sibton, CHRIS-Hewat & Regward.

Gliffyg then suggested THIRD WORLD for his 2 points. SHAZZA-Hewat & Wickedtongue later matched this for singles.

At 9:39, player number 27, Jobjockey decided he wouldn't be lost with a TRAVEL GUIDE - 2 points there and 1 point each for boxtops & Elspeth who later came along similarly equipped.

Three down and one to go. The clock ticked, players came and went - until twenty to five in the afternoon when SHAZZA took a trip down memory lane and chose HOME GUARD for her bonus (2 points).


The alert amongst you will have spotted that SHAZZA appears twice in the above which means that with the highest score of 3 points and as the only double-hitter, I declare

After 2 weeks, the positions are:

As you see, points have been a little on the scarce side so far this month - in fact hens' teeth have been more in abundance. I shall therefore try to get Queen Jools to exercise some influence over King Jim in the hope of freeing up a few extra points next weekend. Handmaidens to Queen Jools are welcome to add their pressure.

A slight delay on posting this tonight as there was a late entry to check on the submision thread and then just as I posted, I got the message:
"You are not currently connected to any network" Grrrr.

The problem was with my laptop as the desktop has had no difficulty.
