eraser

Hello again AB`s as I am selling my pc I was advised to download and install some software from Heidi.ie called eraser to clean my hard drive before selling it, however here`s the hard bit every time I click on " erase " a box appears telling it has " stopped working " before it has even started, Any advice would be gratefully received.

What program version is it?
There is a proven version .. and betas.

Is this from 'New Task' in main window .. or a R Click?
When you start Windows, in the Task Manager, do you see an eraser process running in the list?
Do you have the default settings applied .. or have you changed from them?

Hi AlBags thanks for your reply the version is 2273, whenever I click on the Icon for eraser it goes striaght into ` eraser has stopped working ` and will go no further, very frustrating

May be worth reinstalling it. Or maybe the provider has a forum you can ask Eraser specfic queries on. Not knocking here, but an application dedicated site may have more knowledge of your experience.
