I think that these pictures are fun and would cheer me up if I saw them in the street.

when they are not burnt out, they are traditional green, but then they are supplemented by a largely white (with some blue) private service, esp for the off the beaten track places, and blue vast things for Park and Ride (Take the Merc to Work is their strap line).

Pretty expensive if you are a normal person mind you........2.5 miles = £1.20 from the local village.
These are the buses where I live

I see this entry includes:

"Yellow Buses won Shire Operator of the Year at the 2009 UK Bus Awards"

I never even thought of the word 'typo' reading that ^
This thread has made me realise I haven't been on a bus for at least 20 years. I really have no idea.

Prudie - I have been on a bus once since 1960 summat. The brakes failed on my car and I had to get back to work in the afternoon. Not that is presented a huge problem in those days - Austin A40's didn't go too fast up hill at the best of times ;)
LOL ttfn, brakes failing only happened to me once, quite terrifying. I do remember (I think) as a child the buses round Bournemouth were green Hants and Dorset plus the yellow trams:-)

Did any of you look at the link that I posted - http://s151.photobuck...w¤t=bus_030.jpg

My mum was a bus conductress (a clippie) before she had me - that was a few years ago.

:-)
Arriva link knackered. Here's another single decker in Stockton:

I've had a look wolfy, some really clever art work there!
They are clever wolf63 the snake one was good. We have purple bendy buses on our local route http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FTR_(bus). Ok but a bit of a problem when three turn up at once.
It looks as though the link doesn't show the purple bendy bus. Sorry.
