73d ,,,,clue is sobbed.....7 letters.......it looks like the answer is .. greeted ..i just cant see the connection,,,,,i know we say greeting for crying can someone explain it for me ,,,,its the last one ....driving me mad!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you say, greeting= crying
crying = sobbing
Sobbed=greeted.

i am Scottish ,its not a word we would normally use , Greet yes , but never Greeted , unless it was to mean saying hello ,i think it is a very bad clue for sobbed .
