Ride height and arch rubbing
Hello, fellow motorists. I've just fitted some wide boots on my old Jap Crap from the scrapyard, the only problem is when I drive it round like a loon or have passengers the tyres rub on the arches. Without doing anything drastic to the wings is there an easy way to stiffen the springs or increase the ride height by just an inch? It's a Honda Civic 1991.

If you fit bigger wheels you have to also fit tyres with a lower aspect ratio to compensate so that the rolling diamiter is the same as standard. I expect that your speedometer is not now reading accurately as a result. Your current set-up is dangerous and likely to get you three points if Mr Plod sees it. Of course you can fit stiffer springs, but I would think the fronts would still foul the arches on full lock. I cant think of anyway to raise the ride height by an inch!
Er don't ride about like a loon?
Sorry! how stupid of me!!
