Certain sites won't open EG: You tube home page.
For a few days I have been unable to get onto you tube home page and a few other sites. Could I have inadvertently ticked a box which prevents the program from opening do you think? (I can play links that are provided) I have recently installed firefox 6.0 but I can't open the site using I.E. either. Any help /advice would be gratefully received. I have re-installed flash player but this did not help.

Clear out ALL temp files.
Can you reach other websites .. say ... eBay without difficulty?
Have you used any security or software to clean registry or modify hosts file?
Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and do a FULL scan. See what results you get.

Thanks for the reply Albags (sorry for the lack of info) I have cleared the cache temp files etc.. I'm on XP with all upgrades. I have Avast fully checked and 'secured' full system scan. I now think that this is more of a site problem with you tube (Link) than my system as other sites do work correctly, after re-installing flash again. however I too keep getting the transfering data 's.ytimg.com' as mentioned in the link.
