Alternatively hop on the train from Bristol Parkway to Bristol Meads and change for train the Bath.

As above. Definitely better (cheaper) to get a train, or even bus, to Temple Meads and then hop on the train to Bath Spa.

Thanks for you answers - did try to google it and couldn't find anything. And I don't know if I am taking a taxi, hence the question about how much ti would be!!!!
