Fact is - it is always a tragedy when such a young person dies. For Amy's family this is a devastating blow and one they will never really get over. It is always a tragedy to lose such a talented young performer. Her life in itself was a tragedy, as she lost control of it. But I do hope people won't forget her music, because she was a talented young woman and for her family she will live on in her music. This is all they have left of their child. But at least they do have this!

I did say it applies to many drugs. As an example the simple
pain killer Paracetamol causes your death many days after leaving your system. Alchohol is another example. As far as Heroin is concerned it damages the braln and the immune system . Which in turn which leaves you wide open to other problems. However feel free to have your shots if you believe its safe to do so.

and as I said earlier people really can't help themselves, they have to take pot shots at someone whose dead, who apparently was clean when they died and could have died of absolutely anything, because niether you nor I nor anyone except the coroners have the faintest idea what she died of a yet. As an ex drug user if I died tomorrow would it be because I used to do heroin and coke, or maybe might it be because I might have died of natural causes or some other reason. Being a drug user does not make you immune to dying of things other than a drug overdose you know.

The body of a live person metabolises heroine in about 24 hours. That is, from ingestion to the substance having been absorbed and the body being clean of traces of the drug takes a day or two.
In the case of an overdose, the dead body does not metabolise it and it stays there for ever.
If she had taken heroin that day, something would have shown in the toxicology results.
The reports said she had not taken any illegal drugs, so she may have used prescription drugs.
