Tape to MP3 transfer.
2 Answers
Has anyone any experience with a DJ Tech Tape to MP3 Direct Encoder device?
Is it as easy as they say it is to convert cassette tape content to MP3s
It says direct onto USB or SD cards, without the use of a computer.
Would that be USB memory sticks?
Is there any way the tracks can be put directly onto the computer as MP3s?

If you're on a tight budget (and you've already got a device for playing your tapes, such as a cassette Walkman or or hi-fi cassette deck) you can record directly to your PC by simply buying a lead to connect the output from that device to your computer's audio input, and using Audacity (which is what is supplied with the DJ Tech device anyway):

However DJ Tech have simplified things a bit, plus their gizmo can do other things as well, as explained in their video:

Thank you for that, the video was most interesting, but they didn't mention Audacity.
I have a turntable that converts vinyl to MP3s but it has to make use of Audacity in the process.
I had to do something to my computer, so Audacity turned the tracks into MP3s, but I can't remember exactly what I did.
