my boss is on holiday and we have decided to decorate his office as a surprise for when he gets back... so far we have a pink beaded door curtain, a fluffy pink heart rug.... any other suggestions??

you could make a hanging mobile out of coat hangers, a la blue peter, and then you can add any small objects you like to it.

change his chair to a blow up armchair.

cover all his pens, penpot, stapelers etc in fancy paper and stickers (make sure they'll come off though! - pritt stick or pva glue should soak off) - or just use sellotape underneath. even cover table legs and filing cabinets in the gaudiest wrapping paper you can find.

get a caricature of him done and put it in a gaudy frame on his wall - even if he gets rid of everything else, he may keep this!

mock up some fake certificates (or you can find them to print out online) and put them around the office, i.e worst tie or whatever is relevant.

make a calendar from the templates in word with pics of his head on other peoples bodies and hang it in there.

if you are feeling extravagant, install or make up a gaudy 70's mini bar in the corner, complete with tropical pinapples and cocktails etc. perhaps borrow some optics, empty bottles, glasses, etc from a local bar. and paint a sign with his name on it, such as "Jim's Place" or whatever
