I don't have a main aerial for my TV, I have Sky but want Freeview for the missus! I have a digital TV and tried a couple of plug in indoor aerials but still cannot get a picture, any ideas out there? Are they expensive boosters worth a go?
Thanks in advance

Has analogue transmission been switched off in your area?

Aye, a couple of months ago, thought I still needed an aerial though?
If analogue is off then the digital signal will be at full power.
Do you know the direction of the transmitter from your house? You need to ensure your aerial is pointing in the right direction.
If you are getting nothing then it is not likely that a booster will help an indoor aerial. You may need to look at getting one on the roof.
You do but I think what he may have been getting at is that after switchover the power to the digital signal is upped, and what may have been inadequate before could maybe be OK with the increased signal.

I guess you'll just have to fit one outside

That sounds a nightmare, got sky so dunno if it's worth the expense? Wouldn,t mind paying £30 - £40 but hiring an engineer I am sure would be plenty more, I live in a two up!
I was interested in the thread on TV aerials. I have freeview on my TV, and I also have SKY which I would like to get rid of. I have an aerial on the roof, but it never worked. I cant get freeview, so I suppose I have to get a new aerial? Please does anyone have any idea of the approximate cost, and will freeview work if I do? Hop this does not sound confusing, as I am confused!
