why does my hair go curly in the rain?

If I go out in the rain, my hair goes all curly, just like I've had a perm or an afro.
But when I wash it, or wet it with tap water it stays straight. It also goes curly if i do a lot of exercise and sweat a lot. an ideas? ( it looks better curly, so if I can figure out why, perhaps I can get it to stay that way).

you obviously have curly hair. I'd suggest you look after it properly. a good book is Curly Girl, The Handbook, by Lorraine Massey.

I'd say its the hair folicles getting smaller in cold rain so your hair goes curly. so cold shower it is.

although when you exercise the sweat is what curls the hair. Afro hair came about through the ages because in warmer countries hair adapted so it became curly so cool hair could get to the head.
