What's he doing these days?

He seems to have had problems with depression after Freddie's death (quote from the Sun so must be true...?) but is apparently living a quiet life with his family. He's sorely missed on the music scene- he's one of my bass heroes - but good luck to him and thanks for all the years of enjoyment he gave.

I saw a programme about Queen the other day. Brian May and Roger Taylor said he was 'doing other things', and I wondered what they were.

He seems to have closed the door on his Queen days.

John has retired from the music business, but is still in touch with May and Taylor in regard to decisions regarding the band's activities.

.. and he endorses Brian May and Roger Taylor quite happily to use the 'Queen' brand name. Queen& or + these days it seems.

It's a shame John Deacon doesn't want to contribute to Brian and Rogers' works these days but the choice is His and I respect that.
