Sophie, The earliest use in English of 'orange' to mean the fruit dates back to the 14th century. Its use as a colour-name dates only to the 16th. (Sorry to hijack your thread JL!)

Garlic bread is from the greasy wops, chocolate for insecure chicks who need it badly, unsliced bread - why slice it. Cavemen didn't.

People people people get out and get a life. It's the first and last time I will be here.

Cause i'm working in the Caribbean and left UK years ago. Suggest you get out more.
