I am completely baffled with this question and hope there is someone out there who can help me. The clue is:
"A woman says she is 35 on her birthday not counting Sat. and Suns. What is her real age?"
I don't even know how to start to work this one out. Is it me or is it just impossible to answer. I look forward to your views on this puzzler. Thanks.
If she is ignoring 2 days of the week then she is only counting 5 out of 7 days and so the age that she is giving is only 5/7 of the real value. Thus her real age is 35 * (7/5) = 49.
Thanks littlegriff and bibblebub. Interesting - 2 answers and 2 different figures. The way I look at it is we don't even know on what day she made this statement and that information would help. Oh I don't know - I'm even
getting myself all mixed up with it now. Thank you both very much for your replies.
Thanks Quizmonkey - that makes it even more complicated.!!! Also, the answer will depend on when the statement was made woulkdn't it ? If it was made in February - the answer would be different had the statement been made in October. And when is her birthday? I am now going into a dark corner and putting a towel over my head. !!!!!
