What song makes you want to get up and dance at parties?

Looking for some ideas for a party i am throwing at the weekend.

Do you want cheesy 'older' songs or more recent songs?

'Yeah' by usher never fails to get me dancing, but there is also lots of cheesy songs that will get people up on the dance floor.

Depending on the sex of the majority of people there, I'd go for Shania Twain - Man, I feel like a woman

Gina Gee - Ooh Aah, Just a lil bit!

Hanson - Mmmm Bop!

These are just random songs that make me wanna get up and dance, but like Betty Boop said, we really need to know the age/sex/taste of these people going!

Cheesy pop eh!, I suppose the ultimates are 'Come on Eileen', Hi Ho Silver Lining', & 'YMCA'. Personally they'd make me get up and leave but hey! it's your party - have a good one!

Practically anything by the B-52s, not just 'Love Shack' but a lot of their older tracks, like 'Strobe Light' and the 'Wig' song.

ABBA...almost anything EXCEPT 'Dancing Queen.' That's the problem with a lot of 70s songs, they are so overplayed they lose their impact.

That Crystal Water's 'La ta dee...she's homeless' song, corny but cool.

Don't forget Motown and Diana Ross...there was a non-stop compilation mix of some Motown tracks that came out a couple years ago which is really funky.
