Buckfast Wine

Why the big issue with Buckfast Wine these days? The maddies and neds assumed to drink it can't afford it (about £7 a bottle) and it is about 15% average, about the same as a decent bottle of red wine. Beats the 3 for a tenner trash that my folks drink!

When I was in Devon last week I brought back some pasties from Blackwells in bideford. The best pasties ever in my opinion. They do a roaring trade from a little shop. I like to freeze them but they are never the same as fresh. If they didn`t have a million calories in, I would eat them every other day.
I have heard that they are good - I am way down the county near Truro - we have quite good ones from Bodmin and there's not a bad pastie near Mylor (Falmouth) though their pastry is a little flaky (in texture not consistency!).
