I was beginning to get a wee bit annoyed that every time a Scot appeared on a Television or Radio programme they seemed to speak with a Glasgow accent, irrespective of where the story line was set.
Then I heard Andy Stewart's recording of "The Rumour" where he travels all round Scotland demonstrating the various accents to be heard across the country.
I doubt if anyone else will be interested but the track is available on I-tunes
For our non Scottish readers teuchter is spelled teuchter and is a pejorative term which lowland Scots use to describe gentlemen from the Highlands.
We do not mind.
So watch Trawlermen an' ye'll hear hardly onything bit Peterheid v'ices! Mind you, Glaswegians get everywhere, so you might even hear one on that programme, too.
