I have had this TV for about 4 years and although it has built in freeview, I view it through SKY. This past few days when I have switched on I either get a grey screen which then develops striped lines, neither the TV remote or the sky remote will work, the TV remote eventually works and I can put it on the HD channel and the sky then works until it is switched off and put on again and then I have to spend ages trying to get it to work. Any suggestions please.

sounds like bad capacitors. These problems show themesleves most when cold. I'd get it to a tech before it gets worse - if the psu output rails go high it could ruin expensive circuitry. Prevention is cheaper than cure.
