Gnat or mosquito bites?

Several days ago I was bitten 7 times in the same area on my leg and especially in the evening they go redder and are driving me mad with the itching! Has anyone got a simple solution (that I may have in the house) to stop this incessant itching? I have been bathing them with vinegar but doesn't seem to help. They show no sign of lessening and I had jeans on at the time - assuming it was when I was gardening. Hope someone can give me a tip as I am desperate!!

Have you got any antihistamine cream e.g Anthisan or Phenergan?

If not hydrocortisone cream in some form?

Bicarbonate of soda can help sooth itching. Tomorrow, buy yourself some HC cream1% and some antihistamine tablets. Try and keep cool.

Thank you all for your tips - I'm going off now to put a tomato on my leg! Then I will gradually have a go with everything else!! X
