Just a light hearted one for a Sunday morning.

Here are my Top 10 reasons why flip flops are the best summer footwear.

10. They let the fresh air get around your toes.

9. They don't make you look too tall.

8. They show off your tanned feet.

7. You can play footsie in them.

6. They are easy to slip off in the pub.

5. You can paddle through the shallows without taking them off.

4. They hardly take up any space in your bag.

3. You can get five pairs for the price of one pair of normal shoes.

2. They go with almost anything.

1. They look SOOOO cool !!

(which some runners wear, actually)

are flip-flops a northern thing, to be found mainly in blackpool. blooming cheap low quality footwear, designed to tear your feet to bits : (

Oh, and Shell banned them from its offshore installations. Too many bathroom accidents involving wearing them with wet feet.
