Follow it up with a letter then, rugeleyboy, and send it recorded delivery. Letters are much better than phone calls for something like this, you have a record of what was said. However - you need to make it clear whether you are just complaining about the incident, or complaining that "the management" treated you very shabbily, or whether you are looking for compensation for ? shock and inconvenience, don't just tell them about the incident, tell them why you are writing.
