Removing pollen

I've just moved a vase of lilies, and the orange pollen has gone all over a canvas print on the wall.
I haven't attempted to remove it yet, as I don't know what to you so it doesn't smudge... wet or dry cloth?
Also, to stop this from happening again, is it ok to snip out the stalks which hold the pollen?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I know the secret - having worked as a Receptionist where there were always displays of lilies and other flowers - get a length of sellotape, wrap it backwards round the fingers of your hand (sticky side up) and dab the pollen off (don't rub) you will find the pollen just lifts off onto the sellotape - magic! Never try to wipe it off with anything else as its a dye!
