I am not sure if this is the right area for this question but will ask it all the same. As many of you know some people live for building radio control and static models which can be a very expensive and time consuming hobby. The final stage in the building of these models is to cover the stickers or paint with a chemical which hardens to protect the aforementioned. Can anyone here tell me what it is called and where I can get some? I have tried the local model shop but they do not seem to have it.

I would be willing to get it over the Internet and once again thanks for all your helpful answers.

These days most RC planes are covered with an iron on plastic coating afaik. The old way was Japanese tissue and cellulose dope. There are a few places around that supply the old stuff (which I like using). My local model shop (Mich Charles) is brilliant - they seem to stock everything, I'll go and see if they do mail order.

Ok, looks like Mick Charles are a 'visit only' set up - so if you live anywhere near Stoneleigh (Surrey) I highly recommend them.
