my cat sucks its pads

I have an 8 month old cat and sometimes when we have a cuddle she;ll suck the pads on her paws . . . it sounds just like a baby sucking its dummy!! just wondered if this was normal

Beats doing it to your jumper I guess, which my old cat used to do. It wasn't a good look when you finally turfed her off your knee to find little dribble patches all down your front.

Basically she's 'sucking her thumb' it's a comfort thing. Mine used to suck on cushions, my clothes, bedding etc whilst kneading it with her paws. Lots of cats do it, it's pretty normal. The only thing is if she's doing it to her feet you want to watch that she doesn't make them sore.

My dog has a teddy that she sucks on and kneads with her paws....

My cat is 2 years old and still sucks on his blanket, he doesnt want to grow up so the vet says.

FF to about 32 seconds and this cat turns it paw right over and it's sucking the middle pad.
