Do you all know that its free entry to English Heritage properties from tomorrow Thursday 8th - Sunday 11th - worth visiting, pity the weather's not good!

Not just English Heriatge properties, but all manner of places are open to the public.

I wanted to do a few things near us but all the interesting tours are booked up. Always the same - you have to book on the first day for anything good.

It doesn't say on the EH website you have to book Maidup - but perhaps you meant the London one?
some of the places you have to book, some not - for instance on this page it's listed int he last column

Hold your horses on this one folks - I think I'm mistaken, it appears that English Heritage organise this huge annual event but it involves lots of buildings including churches, museums and other buildings of interest not normally open to the public. It even includes some National Trust ones on the list. I'm not at all sure whether the actual English Heritage sites are free too - will ring up in the morning and clarify it as its very misleading!
