Any help much appreciated (and for those not following the puzzle, the clues all hold an extra letter (not used in the grid)

34a) Small tubes run within broad front to ships's bows (12, 2 words)

8d) Full-grown flower toppled over inside lean-to (6)

8d Dee = flower/river < inside s(h)ed

I have the answer to 34a but can't expalin it properly, so will leave that to someone else.

Run=R in
BROAD = E(C)LECTIC - so C is extra letter
EYES= Ships bows - I had to look that up in Chambers.
