expartner who ive got kids with found out house i used to own where she lived before she left with kids is on sale which no longer belongs to me but to my brother as it was a family house & he has owned it for over 2 years after she left. She has made appln to place restriction on title to protect her beneficial interest which my brother has objected to & wait a decision. she states she xferred legal ownership in previous property to me for amout equivalent to 50%-75% of actual value at time of xfer saying i persuaded to sell it her at an undervalue. she claims when property was sold, proceeds were used to buy the house where she used to live & states her interest xferred to this property in similar shares. now rough solicitors saying theyre looking to make an application to court for a declaraion o the extent of their clients beneficial interest. they want certain questions answered and my brother does not now want to sell her property until these issues are resolved. what can i do and what can my rother do to put a stop to this and what kind of solicitor would cover this type of work, rang few property law solicitors firms who didnt seem to know!

Can you clarify please:

who owns the house - your brother? If it's his house, why would your ex have any interest in it at all.

Surely when you and she sold it to your brother, that should have been the end of it?

It might be that the (?rough) solicitors acting for her will want a form completed - which could well show that she has no interest in the house at all. Your sentence "my brother does not now want to sell her property" is really confusing - is it his, or hers?
