you'll need either a pair of high resolution binoculars or 3"+ telescope to see it

Be aware that even with binoculars you'll just see a small smudge with a tiny star. Visually very uninspiring.

Can't wait for Betelgeuse to go bang. I'll be much more inspiring. Might even cast shadows at night, they say! Due to go nova any million years now.
This thing exploded over 21 million years ago,it`s taken the light that comes from it all that time to reach us---it`s that far away!!
