Ironman update

Thanks to all of you who sponsored my friend's husband who took part in today's Ironman event in Tenby in memory of his lovely son who sadly died last year at the age of five. He has just finished it in 13 hours, 39 minutes and 14 seconds!!!!! Thanks again, x.

Hi both - he did a 2.4 mile swim (in the sea I presume), a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run. The man's a bloody hero!

Hi sherrardk, the distance and conditions of the Ironman events are insane. I understand that anyone completing the course within the strict cut-off time limit (17 hrs for I/M Triathlon) are officially recognised as an 'Ironman' LOL.
