I came home late last night and my front lawn looked a lot neater than when I left early that morning. Thought it might have been the dark/tiredness.

Was out front this morning looking st it a bit puzzled when a guy from a few doors down came over and said he had seen me struggling doing it before so did mine when he was doing his.

I was quite overwhelmed, only had one real conversation with him before and say hi in passing. Such a lovely thing to do and I was so very grateful. Definitely popping round with something nice to say thank you.

Lovely how this kind of thing can make such a difference.

Chris is clearly just a perv. I am glad I moved out of Suffolk ;)!
It's costing me a fortune in fuel to drive up to Peterborough every night, Barmaid. (Even if you won't open your curtains you might at least let me use your broadband connection while I'm sitting out here!)
Have the best neighbours in the world. Both sides and the two houses across the road - they are all great. Will have to buy a cul-de-sac when I win the lottery and take them with me.
lol Chris, you've got the wrong house then because my curtains are almost always open!!!! lmao. I did wonder where all my knickers went when I had the house in Bury though........ ;)
We recently got back from our holiday and our lovely Indian neighbour had actually pressure washed all our front drive, steps and path to our front door - it was gleaming as we hadn't done it for quite a few years. I was quite overwhelmed at his kindness as it must have taken him some time. He just smiled and said "I just took the opportunity to do it while your touring caravan was away Ann - I wanted to surprise you" There are some lovely people in this world .......
was that Bury St Edmunds, Barmaid.....? Surely not in deepest Lancashire, the knicking of one's satins....no way.
Yes it was Bury St Edmunds in deepest darkest Suffolk DT. Not far from where Chris lives. Indeed, he knew the Sainsburys I used to shop at well.
The trouble with being a good neighbour is that people feel they have to repay you and some have no idea what a good bottle of sherry is.
or he was looking to sell his property, Ann, and thought the neighbourhood could do with a smartening up.

Nice thing to do though, seriously.....
