for the past two weeks, I have been really hungry and I just wondered, does anyone know if it could be linked to anything, or is this fairly common?
I wake up in the morning with my stomach making hunger noises, so have breakfast... but I'm still hungry an hour later.
I haven't been giving in to these "cravings" and have been drinking loads too, but I just always have the urge to raid the fridge... which is very unlike me!
I've started cutting up fruit and putting in the fridge to munch on, but my stomach still seems to be making these weird noises, and I still feel a bit "empty".
are you eating enough of the right kinds of food? we all know what we should eat but in real life we can get too busy to follow through on the good intentions
I actually eat really well. I rarely eat junk food, and have a good balance of nutrition in my diet.
I did go through a stage a couple of months ago, where I was hardly eating anything, but it was due to stress and things kind of went back to normal.
I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner... though I often skip lunch and just have fruit or a yogurt. It's only recently been like this though, I could eat a horse!
Thanks Sqad. Weirdly, I was convinced a short while back (a month or so ago) that I had diabetes. I never went and got myself checked as my Mum said I was being dramatic and there was probably nothing wrong! I will definitely make an appointment in the morning now, as I didn't realise appetite had anything to do with it. Thankyou :)
fts i am exactly the same always hungry I also have porridge with a banana and toast and a hour or so later I am looking for something else to eat, I do have an underactive thyroid but take medication for it, I have also been tested for diabetes but that was ok, I have been drinking a protein shake mid morning and have found this helps take the hunger pangs off for a while.
One condition that is telling for always being hungry is hyperthyroidism. I know someone who can eat 8 slices of toast for breakfast and crave more food and she is hyperthyroid and as skinny as a rake. Probably best to get that checked out as well as diabetes...hope you are ok and it proves not to be.
