Tresspassing Laws
Last night i witnessed some lads smashing someones gate in with a slegehammer. I called the police, they came , confiscated the sledgehammer and sent them on thier way with NO CHARGE. Tonight i found one of the lads in my garden (bearing in mind i have 8ft fencing all the way around) . If i had let my dog out or worse still my husband, where would we stand ??? Three hours ago, i called the police, still nothing ...Bloody rediculous

unarmed police (..duh?), almost no right for "normal" residents to protect themselves or their property, without getting sued afterwards by an injured intruder...what a weak nation - being so strong and proud once...!
I still dont get the "sense" of such Non-Law... in (almost) ANY other (civilized) country, a person attempting the above mentioned things would at least be aware of a possibility getting arrested (proper responding and forceful police), getting severely injured or worse (active defense allowed, or passive defense, like razor wire etc..also not allowed in UK..)
As you said - Hilarious!
