Hi Mamyalynne, I think, somewhere down the line, you said you are partially-sighted and if that is right, how much trouble do you have, if any, navigating round a DVD, e.g. chapters, episodes etc or do you have enough sight to manage okay? I've been on to the RNIb, but they don't know of any system, yet, that could help me navigate round a DVD. Any ideas Mamya or anyone? Ta Muchly.

Sorry Woodelf, I do have enough sight for that even though I don't actually do DVDs.

I would have thought the RNIB would have help, but seems not. Maybe one of the more technical people here mau have some ideas.

Do hope so, (smile) xxx
^may - sorry.
Hi Woodelf

Can you use a screen magnifier at all?
I've found this link i don't know if it's any help
http://www.rnib.org.u...m/film/Pages/dvd.aspx
I think the only choice you have is to find DVD's with audio description.
My husband is registered blind so I have to do all that sort of thing, but imagine it would be very difficult and frustrating if you didn't have any help,

That's okay Mamya, it was just a thought, but Many Thanks. No Scotman, of no use as I've no sight at all. Many Thanks RRGirl, I'll try your link...and audio described are only the actual film itself, I think, but I don't like it anyway; gets in the way of good music...I'll just have to faff about with the remote and take pot luck, eh.
