been invited to around the world fancy dress, i got hawaii. I dont have figure for bikini, grass skirt (any skirt infact) what can i wear?

My niece went to one in the holidays, 4get. They all wore bright vest tops and denim shorts under their grass skirts.

a brightly coloured hawaiin shirt, shorts/cut offs and a bright big flowered garland round your neck and flip flops?

My very late husband once went as Demis Russeau, he wore a black kaftan (of mine) with a cushion strapped to his stomach, a black wig and a false beard. it was to a party at the neighbours opposite, I was a harem girl. We knocked on the door the response was we don't know who you are but come in, a brilliant night. (He wore sandals and had varnished his toe nails!)

Could be, Chris, older women don't always go with the grass skirts, particularly since the missionaries got to them. But as you already pointed out, floral is always good.

No we lived in a small cul de sac and were opposite them. Hubby was so well disguised it was fantastic. I had to remove his nail polish before he could go to the office.

I must say, if Demis Roussos and a harem girl turned up at my door I would be a bit flustered.
