Ask anyone about their driving ability and they will nearly always be "Good" or at least "above average" so where do all the numpties come from?

On the other hand I see people hogging the outside lane, bumper to bumper, at high speed, often when there is ample room to drive in either of the two other lanes. Such driving is not as stupid looking, but it's far more dangerous as a rule.

i woudl say im an average driver, and have good and bad days... ive never crashed though, ...but i do sometimes get nervous on the road.
i think people who thnk they are great drivers are often just arrogant and refuse to accept theyre not perfect.
my ex used to think he was a phenomenal driver...he wasnt... and my mate thinks shes a good driver, yet has had a fair few crashes, and has many many near misses on one journey - speeding, having to slam on all the time, changing lanes at the wrong time etc etc...yet then jokes, well i havent crashed so im doing ok...i wasnt laughing though...i just thought she was an idiot...

I agree with Tracy about roundabouts - most people round here seem to have no idea about giving way to traffic coming from the right, they just stop anyway - I've seen three people at different junctions on a roundabout, each one scared to move first...
And round here they seem not to use indicators - I guess they know where they're going.
