renault scenic 1.9tdi keeps cutting out??

Our (above) keeps stopping, doesnt do it a certin time, can do it twice in an hour then nothing for 2 weeks then do it again then nothing for 1 week....its very speradic (if thats a word). it also judders slightly now and then as well. It can cut out when were do 20mph or 70mph and so far it has started back up straigh away. Any ideas what it could be????

For this one, you will probably have to get the ECU fault codes read .. sorry : (
It could well be a sensor triggering the ECU to shut off the fuel .. but which sensor?!

i have that with my passat. all diagnostics clear and no visible signs of a prob,

vw specialist told me buy injector cleaner and fill the tank up and drive fast for 30 mins to clean it out. then use power fuel once a month
