Getting highlighter pen ink from carpets

Hi all, I wondered if anybody knew the best way to get ink out of carpets, as my dog decided to chew the ink cartridge out of a highlighter pen, resulting in it being all over the carpets! Any help would be much appreciated :-) xx

You could try Vanish spray for carpets and upholstery. I've had success with it for removing a chilli stain - almost as bad as ink!!
