Aren't Long Tailed Tits just the most beautiful looking birds?

I was on the roof terrace this afternoon when a small flock of LTTs arrived in a tree right next to where I was standing. They are just such gorgeous little birds, and since I moved from the countryside to the city I very rarely see them anymore. Such a treat. I'm so easily pleased:-)

Indeed they are sweet !! I have a flock of 12 visit my garden/feeders regularly - but they dont half squabble and can be noisy ! :)

They are beautiful little birds, so fast as well. I see them in the garden occasionally and they descend on the bird table then dash off again chattering away. I love to watch them

Glad I'm not alone in loving them. Yes they are noisy and usually announce their arrival with their twittering and flittering and fluttering. And then after 5/10 minutes or so they're off again. PP you're so lucky to get them regularly.

We have occasional bluetits - I think they are great, too.

I like to see the bluetits too boxy, occasionally a wren will hop around the rosebushes for a while. Not seen any LTT's around here, you are lucky.

I love the way they bounce from tree to tree following my leader. Charming. If you are interested Tracy Emin (she of the unmade bed) has done a lovely picture of them. Proves she is a real artist not just a ......artist.

We have them in a stand of young birch nearby and you can certainly hear them before they come into sight.
