can anyone reccomend a good can operer i have gone through 3 in last couple of months i have brought cheap ones and more expensive ones all no good its as if the cans are even thicker than usual
The last one I bought was about a tenner from Tesco. It's quite a chunky thing but it does a good job. It's lasted about 3 years so far. Do you give it a wash after you use it?
yea always wash it , might just get a leccy one if you say they are good . i have seen those ones in pound land too asumed cos they are a pound must be no good thanks guys
Can't comment on modern electric ones. I have been using the old 'butterfly' type made by Squires ever since I was a lad. They usually last me for about 10 years.
I broke my first £shop one. It was my fault and not the tin-opener. 2nd one is good. It's lasted for about 2 months now, but most of my cans are ring-pull.
If I lose the key off the corned beef or break a ring pull I just call on my OH to sort it out.
where do you guys live with the ring pull cans ? i live in west bromwich west midlands and the only cans we get with ring pulls are heinz baked beans at least they are the only ones i have seen in my area i could stand to be corrected
I was going to suggest the Oxo Good Grips one too. If you buy it from lakeland it has a lifelong no quibble guarantee too, so if you manage to break another one you can return it!
I have arthritis in my hands, and the only can opener that works well for me is an electric one, it's really easy to use, that's the best one to buy!...
"CULINARE MagiCan auto". I bought this from a local kitchen ware shop here in Jersey Channel islands. Its the best i'v ever had - I have weak wrists so find most openers difficult, but this 1 is perfect.
