Ahem
I do hope Mrs Moony has had a lovely time in Spain, I suspect Moony's pain will start shortly ;) How long can a list be?
btw - dinner tonight was a medium rare rib-eye, potaoes dauphinoise, fried onion rings, roasted tomatoes in balsamic and demerara sugar, field mushrooms and a watercress salad. Call that enemy territory? How was your ploughman's? (Now THAT is pure trenches x)
Waves to alba :) x
Hi Wolf - Moony is going to need more than a black cat to help him when Mrs M returns - not so much a wedding as more of a weeding ;) x

I've been experimenting with cheap meals based upon Tesco's 'Value' cooking bacon. (500g for a quid so, by freezing it into 5 x 100g portions, I've got the basis of five really cheap meals at 20p each).
Tonight I tried casseroling it in vegetable stock (made from 2 'Value' stock cubes, at 0.6p each!) with some sliced carrots and leek, and serving it with Morrison's 'Value' mashed potato (with lots of butter and freshly ground black pepper in it). The leek made it 'expensive', otherwise I'd have had a reasonably decent meal for under 40p! I just need to bulk the sauce out a bit and give the flavour a boost (a bit of mustard and a few herbs, I think) and I'll have it perfected ;-)
