Travellers return to Dale Farm
39 Answers
On the news today we saw lots of cars towing caravans back into Dale Farm as residents who had previously left in advance of the eviction decided to return following the appeal.
Would it have been a reasonable action or an unwise provocative action for the police to use number plate recognition technology on the cars as they approached the farm and to then stop any that seemed to be untaxed or uninsured?

I`m not suggesting they are all pikeys, some of them are probably law abiding traditional gypsies/travellers.
The ones that drive around in white transit vans conning old people out of their life savings for a dodgy one inch thick tarmac driveway, doing dodgy roofing jobs or nicking copper cable from the railways are pikeys.
The same people who leave tonnes of sh!t behind them when they hitch up their caravans and leave town
